Hourly rate and hours per week: £14.00 per hour / 35 hours a week

This is a full-time role working five days per week. The normal working hours will be 9:00am–4:00pm.

We are looking for a practical and reliable Maintenance Operative to join our team at The Devon Hotel.

The role will initially focus on a project to update and refurbish our hotel bathrooms, so practical experience in tiling and plastering is particularly important. The successful candidate will also assist with general repairs and maintenance throughout the hotel.

Main Duties

• Wall and floor tiling.

• Plastering, skimming and making good.

• Preparing bathrooms for refurbishment.

• Grouting, sealing and finishing work.

• Painting and decorating.

• General repairs and maintenance throughout the hotel.

• Keeping work areas clean, safe and tidy.

About You

• Experienced and confident in tiling and plastering.

• Previous general maintenance or property refurbishment experience.

• Able to work independently and produce a good-quality finish.

• Reliable, organised and practical.

• Basic plumbing, carpentry or decorating skills would be an advantage.
