Maintenance & Decorating Operative

Pay and hours: £14.00 per hour, 37.5 hours per week

This is a full-time position working five days per week. 

We are looking for a practical and reliable Maintenance & Decorating Operative to join our team at The Devon Hotel.

The role will involve painting and decorating, carrying out routine repairs and helping to maintain our bedrooms, public areas and back-of-house facilities to a good standard.

Main Duties

• Completing minor repairs and general maintenance tasks.

• Carrying out basic plumbing work where appropriate.

• Assisting with refurbishment projects.

• Identifying and reporting faults.

• Painting and decorating.

• Responding to day-to-day maintenance requests.

• Keeping tools, materials and work areas clean, safe and tidy.

• Following the hotel’s health and safety procedures.

About You

• Previous experience in general maintenance, decorating or property upkeep.

• Able to complete work carefully and achieve a good-quality finish.

• Practical, reliable and well organised.

• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
